INSIGHT
Insight is a series of collaged X-ray fragments, which were digitally composed into giclée prints. They speak not only of the body’s interior, but of the human experience it contains.
Drawn from DNA sequencing gels, mammograms, ultrasound scans, and cell cultures grown in Petri dishes, these compositions reframe diagnostic materials as metaphoric landscapes. What once served to identify illness becomes a language of line, texture, and light. They serve as a quiet meditation on fragility, resilience, and the unseen forces that shape us.
Each image in Insight is both an anatomical artifact and an artistic inquiry. Each one is part of my ongoing exploration of the relationship between Art, Science, and Medicine. Through digital layering and compositional play, I aim to dissolve the boundary between clinical detachment and emotional intimacy by inviting viewers to look inward and find meaning in the microscopic.
This series received international recognition when it was awarded top honors at the New York Hall of Science, in a juried exhibition sponsored by Art & Science Collaborations, Inc. Insight was again honored, selected in a national competition held by the New York Academy of Sciences as part of its symposium on Science and the Arts.
